The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) 2026 is now live, providing a centralised platform for M.Tech admissions across Indiaâs premier technical institutes. Coordinated this year by IIT Roorkee, the portal helps GATE-qualified candidates seamlessly view, accept, or decline admission offers from multiple institutes in one place.
If you qualified GATE 2026 or hold a valid score from 2025 or 2024, COAP 2026 serves as your single dashboard for offer decisions. Official COAP 2026 Portal: https://coap2026.iitr.ac.in/coap2026/
NOTE: COAP does not replace institute applications. You must apply separately to each institute youâre interested in.
Purpose of COAP
COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) was introduced to eliminate confusion caused by multiple admission offers from different institutes. Instead of tracking emails and deadlines across portals, candidates can:
- Register once using your GATE credentials
- View all admission offers in a single dashboard
- Make decisions round-by-round
- Avoid deadline conflicts and missed opportunities
Coordinating Institute (2026): IIT Roorkee
Purpose: Centralized platform to accept/reject M.Tech admission offers
Participating Institutes: 24+ IITs and IISc
Additional Use: Select PSU job offers (in some cycles)
Important: Institutes handle applications, shortlisting, and interviews independently. COAP only manages final offer decisions.
