Coal India Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed the qualifying degree with the following minimum marks:
- General (UR) / OBC (NCL) / EWS: Minimum 60% marks
- SC / ST / PwBD: Minimum 55% marks

Age Limit (as on 30 April 2026)
- Upper Age Limit : 30 years for General (UR) & EWS candidates.
Relaxations:
- OBC (NCL): 3 years
- SC / ST: 5 years
- PwBD (General): 10 years
- PwBD (OBC NCL): 13 years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Govt. of India rules
- Maximum age (after all relaxations) shall not exceed 56 years
Note: No upper age limit for CIL and its subsidiary employees.
Coal India Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT) only (No Interview).
- Duration: 3 hours (Two Papers – 100 marks each).
Paper-I: General Knowledge/Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability & General English.
Paper-II: Professional Knowledge (Discipline-related).

Coal India Recruitment 2026 Salary Structure
- Basic Pay : ₹60,000/- per month (during training) in the pay scale ₹60,000 – 1,80,000 (E-1 Grade).
- After successful completion of 1-year training-cum-probation, confirmation in E-1 Grade as Officer.
