23+ RWA Tokenization Platforms in 2026

Real world asset (RWA) tokenization turns things like real estate, loans, gold, and company stock into digital tokens on a blockchain. Instead of buying a whole apartment building, you can buy a small slice of it as a token. Instead of waiting weeks for a bond to settle, you can trade it in minutes.

This list covers 25 platforms doing this work in 2026, split by the type of asset they focus on. Each one gets a short, plain description so you can see what it actually does, not just what it claims to do.

How this list was put together

Every platform below was checked against a few basic questions:

  • What kind of asset do they tokenize: property, loans, commodities, stocks, or something else?

  • Which blockchain do they use?

  • Do they follow real financial rules (like SEC or MiCA registration), or do they operate in a gray area?

  • Can you sell your tokens later, or are you stuck holding them?

  • Who holds the actual asset, and what happens if the platform shuts down?

If a platform couldn't answer most of these clearly, it didn't make the list.

Real estate platforms

1. RealT Sells small pieces of US rental properties as tokens on Ethereum. You get a share of the monthly rent, paid out automatically. Good for people who want real estate income without buying a whole house.

2. Propy Handles full property sales on-chain, including the paperwork and title transfer. Less about fractional ownership, more about making an entire home sale happen through blockchain instead of stacks of paper.

3. Homebase A tokenized real estate investing app built for smaller investors. Lower minimums than most competitors, aimed at people trying real estate investing for the first time.

4. Lofty Tokenizes US rental properties on the Algorand blockchain. Rent gets paid out daily instead of monthly, which is unusual in this space.

Private credit and debt platforms

5. Centrifuge Turns invoices, real estate debt, and other loans into on-chain pools that investors can lend into. It's one of the bigger players connecting real-world loans to crypto lending markets, and it supplies part of MakerDAO's real-world asset reserves.

6. Maple Finance Focused on institutional lending. Companies borrow through tokenized loan pools instead of traditional bank loans.

7. Goldfinch Lends to real-world borrowers, often in markets that don't have easy access to bank credit. The loans are tokenized so investors can fund them directly.

8. Credix A private credit marketplace that mostly funds lenders in emerging markets, like consumer credit companies in Latin America.

9. Clearpool Lets institutions borrow directly from crypto lenders without needing collateral locked up the whole time, using tokenized credit pools.

Commodities platforms

10. Matrixdock Run by Matrixport, tokenizes gold and short-term government debt. Built more for institutional use than retail.

11. Paxos Issues PAXG, a token backed one-to-one by physical gold stored in vaults. It's regulated and widely used as a simple way to hold gold digitally.

12. Toucan Protocol Tokenizes carbon credits so they can be traded on-chain. Used by companies trying to offset emissions with more transparency than the traditional carbon market offers.

Funds, treasuries, and equities

13. Ondo Finance Tokenizes US Treasury bonds and money market funds. Their OUSG and USDY products are some of the most widely held tokenized treasuries.

14. Franklin Templeton (Benji) A tokenized money market fund from a major traditional asset manager. One of the first cases of a big US financial firm putting a real fund fully on-chain with SEC registration.

15. Securitize Handles issuance and management of security tokens for other companies. Best known for working with BlackRock on their tokenized fund, BUIDL.

16. tZERO A regulated platform for trading security tokens, built for compliance from the ground up.

17. Polymath Provides the technical standard (ST-20) that other companies use to issue compliant security tokens.

18. Tokeny Tokenization infrastructure aimed at European regulated securities. Companies use it to issue tokens that meet EU financial rules.

19. Swarm Tokenizes stocks, bonds, and treasuries so they can be traded 24/7 instead of only during market hours.

20. Backed Finance Issues tokenized versions of public stocks and ETFs, like bIB01 and bCSPX, so investors can hold exposure to traditional markets on-chain.

Infrastructure and multi-asset platforms

21. Provenance Blockchain Built by Figure, used heavily for loan origination and mortgage tokenization. One of the larger volumes in real-world lending on any blockchain.

22. Chintai A licensed tokenization platform based in Singapore, handling multiple asset types under a regulated framework.

23. Plume Network A blockchain built specifically for RWA projects to launch on top of. Instead of tokenizing assets itself, it gives other platforms the infrastructure to do it.

24. Mantra A blockchain focused on real estate and fund tokenization, with a strong presence in the Middle East and Asia.

Shipping and maritime

25. Shipfinex Tokenizes maritime assets: ships, cargo contracts, and shares of freight revenue. Shipowners use it to raise capital without selling a whole vessel, and investors use it to get exposure to shipping income without owning any physical ships. Most platforms on this list stick to real estate, credit, or stocks. Shipfinex is one of the few covering maritime assets specifically, which is a large, capital-heavy industry that tokenization hasn't touched much yet.

How to pick a platform

Before putting money into any of these, ask:

  • Is the underlying asset actually audited by someone outside the company?

  • Can you sell your tokens on a secondary market, or are you locked in?

  • What happens to your money if the platform shuts down or gets hacked?

  • Is the platform registered with a real regulator, or operating without oversight?

If you can't get a clear answer to all four, treat that as a warning sign, not a technicality.

FAQ

Is RWA tokenization legal? Yes, but the rules depend on the country and the asset. Tokenizing a security (like a stock or bond) usually requires the same registration as a traditional security. Tokenizing something like a carbon credit has fewer rules right now.

What's the difference between a security token and a utility token? A security token represents ownership or a claim on real value, like a share of a building or a bond. A utility token gives you access to a service or product. Most RWA tokens are security tokens.

Which blockchains dominate RWA tokenization right now? Ethereum still holds the largest share, mostly because of its size and existing infrastructure. Polygon, Solana, and purpose-built chains like Plume and Mantra are growing fast because they're cheaper or built specifically for this use case.

Closing

RWA tokenization is still young, and not every platform on this list will still exist in five years. Start with the ones that are regulated and have real audited assets behind them, and treat the rest as things to watch.
