Elastic has indicated the end-of-life for version 8 of Filebeat, but version 9 has not yet been released. It's because the EOL timeline is based on both time and the release of the next major version. Specifically, Elastic's policy states that support for version 8 will continue for a period after the release of version 9, but as of now, version 9 has not yet been deployed, leading to the delay​ Elastic.

So, the end of support for Filebeat 8.x is set for the later of either August 2024 or 18 months after the release of version 9. Since version 9 has not been released yet, Elastic continues to support version 8.x
