TIME is an American news magazine, published weekly from 1923 until 2020, and now bi-weekly. Since its first issue it has featured a key person in the news on the front cover of every issue, with the first issue of each year from 1927 onwards the 'Man of the Year' (later 'Person of the Year'). Many early issues are in the public domain due to failure to file a timely copyright renewal with the US copyright office.
